WHAT IS ST SAILING
ST SAILING is designed to support the crew with intelligent sailing assistance based on AI and historical data.
The system helps reduce workload and make sailing safer and more predictable. It does this with local pilot control and with warnings of potential collisions with ships, groynes and other obstacles on the river. ST SAILING runs completely locally, even without an Internet connection, and is specially developed for the daily practice of inland navigation.
ST SAILING supports the crew on board, increases safety and forms a solid basis for the next steps towards autonomous navigation. The next steps are already being tested with linking the engine management and the addition of Just-In-Time (JIT) Sailing. With this, an ETA can be set, after which engine management is automatically controlled to arrive efficiently at the desired time.
